Eva M. Pennings graduated from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands in 2005, receiving masters degrees in both Civil law and Corporate law.

Over the past decade, aside from having a general corporate practice, she has specialized in Martime law, providing legal services to local and international clients throughout the marine industry including banks (mortgagees), ship-owners and operators, charterers, terminal operators, shipping agents, P&I clubs and the like. Eva has vast experience advising clients in maritime law related matters, including dry shipping, admiralty crisis management, and transactional work, and has arrested many vessels over the years in the territorial waters of the former Netherlands Antilles, consisting of the islands Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius. Many of these arrests were followed by successful judicial sales of these vessels.
